Spend the first Friday of every month in Olde Towne Woodstock and enjoy the many restaurants and stores that the area has to offer as the Downtown Merchants stay open late, 5pm-9pm This is the third year for the Friday Night Live series.
For each Friday Night Live theme participating Downtown Merchants will have activities going on at their stores and throughout the Downtown area related to the theme of the month. Friday Night …Live also features great music as bands play throughout Downtown Woodstock in front of the stores which adds to the street festival feel of the event.
August 6th Summer of Love- No pond bathing here, but we can promise a summer-lovin’ time. Break out the tie-dyes & head bands for a little early autumn fun as the history of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival is celebrated! Peace, Love, and Rock & Roll.
• Musicians will be playing in front of businesses throughout Downtown Woodstock.
• Everyone that attends is encouraged to wear their best hippie attire to help them fit in with the theme of the Summer of Love
• Dean’s Store will be having Game Night where you can play your favorite board or card game in the historic setting of Dean’s Store
• Hot Dog Heaven will be having their Friday Night Live Steak Night $12.99.
• Seven Arrows will have psychedelic type refreshments and will pass out peace necklaces to the first 12 people. Will have special discounts on different items.
• Roomscapes Gallery is hosting a one woman show of Local painter, Ginger Mosher. Please stop by and meet the artist, enjoy light refreshments and listen to the music by Steve Lusk.
• FOXTALE . . . WHERE THE ACTION IS! On August 6th, we’ll be “spreading the love” to include l0 local authors whose books are self-published. Each will have 5 minutes to tell us why his/her book deserves to be a bestseller! Support local authors at FoxTale!
• 1st United Methodist Church of Woodstock will be hosting 1st Friday Night Jam. Features some great music. 7p.m. – until….. For more info call 770-926-5162.
• Salon Bastille will offer 10% off ALL retail items… Will have hair products, as well as, gift items… Including Pureology, S Illume Candles, theBalm lipglosses and more…Will also offer a complimentary haircut to new clients when booking a full color service… And of course will have adult refreshments and snacks… So stop into the old Woodstock jail and say hi!
