Friday Night Live | June 4th is “Electric Luau”

Spend the first Friday of every month in Olde Towne Woodstock and enjoy the many restaurants and stores the area has to offer as the Downtown Merchants stay open late, 5 pm-9 pm.   This is the third year for the Friday Night Live series in Woodstock, GA.

For each Friday Night Live theme participating Downtown Merchants will have activities going on at their stores and throughout the Downtown area related to the theme of the month. Friday Night Live also features great music as bands play throughout Downtown Woodstock in front of the stores which adds to the street festival feel of the event.

Friday June 4th is Electric Luau

From palm trees to little umbrellas, enjoy the feel of the islands without the cost of airfare. Don’t forget your flowered shirt! Everyone is encouraged to wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt to the event!

Musicians to be featured at Electric Luau: Six Strings South will be performing in the park, Steve Lusk will be performing in front of Roomscapes Gallery, Jeffrey Byrd will be performing in front of Val’s Happy Shack, and Joe Peri will perform in front of Seven Arrows.

Foxtale Books will host a limbo game in the City Park.

Seven Arrows will have a hula hoop contest in front of their store. They will also be passing out leis and having Hawaiian refreshments. Seven Arrows will also feature artwork from Rick Papp.

The First United Methodist Church will be hosting the 1st Friday Nights Musical Jam, 5pm to 9pm, at Latimer Hall. Country and Gospel music will be featured. Admission is free, some refreshments will be sold. For more info call 770-926-6440.

Hot Dog Heaven will be having $12.99 Steak Night.

Roomscapes Gallery & Heartworks Studio will be highlighting artwork by local artist Aubree Metlick. Aubree is also the children art teacher at the gallery and will have info on kids camp. The Gallery will also be serving refreshments.

Pennybag Emporium will have games for kids to play with free prizes as well as a fish bowl set up for a guy and gal to enter to win a special gift from the store. No purchase necessary to win. Will also have some great refreshments. Be sure to check out the bulletin board by Pennybag’s front door where they have pictures posted taken at past Friday Night Lives.

COME BY LKT SPORTS AND TEST YOUR SKILLS AGAINST DAN & STEVE,THE G-MEN 2009 LKT SPORTS ART CORNHOLE CHAMPIONS,TAKING ON ALL COMPETITION—-THIS FRIDAY– during Electric Luau.

Salon Bastille will be handing out leis and have tropical refreshments. As well as coupons for new clients. Be sure to check out the new bath & beauty retail section.

The Woodstock Visitors Center at Dean’s Store will feature game night, where you can play your favorite board or card games in the historic setting of Dean’s Store.

The Woodstock Market & Show will be June 4th-6th, Friday & Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm. This is located at the former location of Walmart at the corner of Main and Hwy 92.

Other participating merchants are Bella Boutique, Vingenzo’s, Antiques by Samson & Delilah, LKT Sports Art, Granger Motorcycles, Val’s Happy Shack, Priest Home Furnishings, Canyons Burgers, Pure Taqueria, Honeybutter, Ann Litrel Art,Punctuation Boutique, Magnolia Thomas Restaurant, Beetles BBQ, and The Right Wing Tavern.

Friday Night Live events start at 5pm. Live Music, Fantastic Food & Festive Activities. Forget the malls. Save the Gas Money for Great Shopping Deals! Come and enjoy your community!
