Elm Street Cultural Arts: Reeves House in Photos

In February 2010, four members of the Cherokee Photography Club took on the difficult task of photographing and documenting the historic Reeves House on Elm Street in Olde Towne Woodstock prior to its proposed restoration.

The home had been abandoned for quite some time and was in foreclosure, so the condition of the house and grounds was, to say the least, dilapidated. This condition was a true challenge for the visual and creative abilities of these photographers.

The images were captured over a period of 60 days, allowing the photographers to pick the time of day, the lighting conditions, and the weather which they preferred. This flexibility resulted in a variety of images that illustrate many different moods, facets, details and representations of this historic home and grounds.

On the pages that follow you will enjoy the highly successful and beautiful results of their creative visions and imaging talents.

Participating Photographers:

Kim Bates — Karen Beedle
René Gallet — Darcy Pino

100% of the profits from the sale of this publication are being donated to the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village project.

Thanks Brad for helping to publicize the new Reeves House book and our web site for the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village. Your new site is beautiful, functional, needed and will prove to be a great asset for Woodstock and all Cherokee County. Nice Job!
