For those who would dominate us through fear, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that, to a degree, it is working. We are afraid. We fear for our lives, our families and our countrymen. We do not want to die and we do not want those around us to die. As far as it goes, your philosophy of hate and destruction is effective. The bad news is, we have a secret weapon. The vast majority of us worship a loving and caring God. Our God tells us to love one another. He commands us to nurture and care for the downtrodden. Do you really believe that our government is the reason Earthquake victims in Haiti and Tsunami victims in Thailand get the necessities they need? No, it is we, the people, as commanded by our loving God.
As a reward, He tells us that there is a better life waiting for us after you kill us where we will be with loved ones that have gone before, including those who were killed by other scourges just like you…killers like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, cancer, traffic accidents…do you like the comparisons? I will be enjoying the company of my dear departed long after you run out of virgins.
Here’s some more bad news, our government is not our nation. While our elected officials are too timid to admit it, we, the people, are one nation, under God. Our founders said it over and over. We enjoy rights given to us by our Creator (you see, we worship a God who is about the creation of life, not the destruction of it.) Generations of our young have sacrificed their lives and limbs and loved ones under a flag that proclaims that we are under the power and protection of this loving God.
Centuries from now, when your neurotic little existence is long consigned to the garbage dump of history where it belongs, We will remain, one nation, under God. All of your hate cannot stop any of His love. He even tells us to love you. Can you imagine that? No, I suppose you can’t. That’s our secret weapon.
